Mr. Mark is planning fun, fun, fun this fall!

This September-October-November, I am leading the Mr Mark Song Collection Number Three. It would be so great for your family, and all the other families in the class, to be a part of the fun.

Young people love the musical experiences that they get in the classes. And as well as enjoying time with Mr. Mark and other families in class, the music they experience outside of class--between listening to the song collection and interacting musically with loving adults and siblings--is invaluable toward the success of their overall development as individuals.

Making music together as a family, even just listening to Mr Mark's Music collections (or any music recordings for that matter) together as a family is an extremely effective bonding exercise. Bonding is good. The family that sings together, clings together!

Your child will benefit in many ways with music as part of their young life. They need musical experiences now, during their young life, to help set them up for musical success, to make them sociable, thoughtful, musical people.

I hope you consider (re)joining Mr. Mark's Music this Fall, for lots of musical family time!

The class schedule is on the website. Check it out and come on out. Reminder: These are mixed age classes. Young siblings can attend together and older siblings/infant siblings (over 5 years and under 6 months) attend for free! Make Mr Mark's Music a family event. The Fall Session runs ten weeks.

Reasons to bring your child to a Mr Mark's Music Class

• Children thrive in the famly-like atmosphere of our classes.

• Repetition and play is the natureal way for children to learn. We repeat songs, but we also switch things up so we adults don't go crazy!

• New studies are being published all the time about the correlation between live musical experiences and children's success.

• A variety of musical styles and moods provides a "well-rounded" musical meal for children to enjoy and discover. My song collections are full of variety.

Mr Mark's Music Together (old name) is now Mr Mark's Music (new name).

Let me address that change for a moment.

This Fall, the music in the my classes is curated and presented by me!

I have taught the Music Together song collections for 25 (!!!) years, and I have fond memories of all those songs. Music Together is a great program. But, over the years, I've amassed my own "collections" of songs that I want to share with my families, so that's what I am doing, starting this fall.

So, instead of a Music Together song collection, your family gets to make music with a Mr Mark song collection

Will our classes together change? Not much, same fun times, same valuable live musical experiences, same guitar. However, new song collections, new song books. They're just curated and presented by me, Mr Mark.

The take-home music, presented by the same class teacher, is now more closely connected to the class and the teacher. Hopefully, a bit more effective musical experience for you and your young one(s).

It's a big change for me, more responsibility to get things right. For you and your child, there will still be the fun and fruitful music classes you have trusted me to present to your family.
